Team Coaching
Victor Seet is Singapore's only Advanced Certified Team Coach (ACTC) holding both the Gallup Gold and Platinum Certified CliftonStrengths Coach awards, distinctions Gallup has since retired. He has worked as a resident team coach in a Singapore company. He is also a workshop facilitator, and coaching partner with corporate teams, government agencies, and high-growth organisations across Singapore and Asia.
His team coaching integrates CliftonStrengths profiling, Ontological Coaching, and Relational Leadership to help teams build trust, improve communication, shift unproductive dynamics, and perform at a higher level, not through a single workshop, but through a sustained, structured coaching process.
Featured in The Straits Times
Victor Seet's team coaching work was recognised in a Straits Times report on how Singapore companies are rethinking workplace culture and employee wellbeing.
As resident Team Coach at Motion For Impact, Victor demonstrated how an in-house coaching presence builds trust, reduces burnout, and supports sustainable team performance. See the case study below.
Case Study: Building a High-Performance Team Culture at Motion For Impact
The Challenge: Motion For Impact was growing rapidly from 12 to 25 full-time staff. Leadership needed support to maintain team cohesion, individual well-being, and performance during a period of significant change.
My Role: As Resident Team Coach from November 2022 to June 2024, Victor provided ongoing coaching to every staff member, facilitated team sessions, and worked with leadership to build a healthy team culture.
The Approach: Victor used a combination of CliftonStrengths profiling to help each team member understand their natural talents, and Ontological Coaching to help the team identify and shift unproductive emotional patterns affecting collaboration and performance.
The Outcome: Victor established a culture of openness and care, improved individual and team performance, well-being support experienced and validated by team members, increased ability to have difficult conversations, redesigned hiring, onboarding and culture building processes, increased brand presence that led to stronger talent attraction and recruitment.

What does the Team Coaching Engagement Process look like?
Team Coaching Pre-Engagement Process - Stage 1
Setting the stage for a focused and successful coaching journey.
1. Initial Alignment Conversations
The Team Leader or Sponsor connects with the Coach to clarify coaching needs, desired outcomes, and roles. Alignment typically takes 2–3 meetings over 1–2 months to ensure shared understanding and intent.
2. Agreement & Scope Finalisation
We formalise the engagement with a clear agreement outlining the scope of work, success metrics, timeline, and payment terms, ensuring everyone is aligned before the coaching begins.
Team Coaching Process - Stage 2
Guided Journey to build trust, alignment and high-performing team dynamics.
1. 1-on-1 Conversations
The Team Coach meets each team member (including the leader) to understand personal perspectives, team dynamics, and individual concerns. This sets the foundation for a safe and open coaching space.
2. Session 1: Team Onboarding & Goal Alignment
The team aligns on shared objectives, expectations, and what success looks like for the coaching journey.
3. Sessions 2–4: Deep Coaching & Practice
Across a series of sessions, the team explores themes like trust, emotional dynamics, communication, and collaboration. Sessions may include team-building, facilitated training workshops, or real-time interventions (including conflict resolutions). The process is always tailored to what the team needs most.
4. Check-Ins & Progress Reviews
Regular touchpoints with the team leader, sponsor, and team members to track progress, adjust focus, and ensure alignment.
Typical duration: 6–9 months
Flexible format based on your team’s goals and evolving needs
Frequently Asked Questions for Team Coaching
Q: What is the difference between team coaching and a team building workshop?
A: A team building workshop is typically a single session focused on awareness, connection, and immediate insights. Team coaching is a sustained process over months that addresses deeper dynamics of trust, communication patterns, leadership alignment, and cultural change. Victor offers both, and often combines them depending on what the team needs.
Q: How long does a team coaching engagement typically last?
A: Most of Victor's team coaching engagements run between 6 and 9 months. This duration allows enough time for real behavioural and cultural change to take root. Shorter engagements are possible for specific, focused outcomes.
Q: What types of organisations do you work with?
A: Victor works with corporate teams, government agencies, high-growth startups, non-profits, and family businesses across Singapore and Asia. For Team Coaching, his clients range from teams of 4 to 15 in size.
Q: How is Victor's team coaching approach different from other team coaches?
A: Victor is Singapore's only Advanced Certified Team Coach (ACTC) and the world's only coach to hold both the Gallup Gold and Platinum Certified CliftonStrengths Coach awards. His approach integrates CliftonStrengths, Ontological Coaching, and Relational Leadership, addressing not just what the team does, but how they relate, communicate, and show up for one another.
Q: How do I find out if team coaching is right for my organisation?
A: Contact Victor directly to discuss your team's situation, goals, and readiness. An initial alignment conversation is always the first step. There is no obligation to proceed.
